Gerald Walker

Gerald WalkerOfficer Gerald Walker was a 17-year law enforcement veteran of the Garland Police Department, and the first Garland Police Officer to die in the line of duty. Officer Walker was assigned to the Patrol Division and was conducting a traffic stop on the night of November 15, 1989, on Lexington Drive and Saturn Road. The driver of the stopped vehicle shot and killed Officer Walker. The man responsible for Officer Walker's death was arrested a short time later.
